If you have been tearing up the roads in Forza Horizon 6, there is one legendary machine that belongs in your garage as soon as possible: the iconic 1998 Nissan #23 Pennzoil NISMO Skyline GT-R. This RWD, S2-Class track monster is an absolute piece of racing history, but it is not something you can just buy straight from the Autoshow. Instead, unlocking it requires a bit of campaign progression and some old-school map hunting in Japan. To get your hands on this JDM icon, you will need to progress through the campaign to earn a specific milestone stamp and track down its hidden Barn Find location. Here is a straightforward, step-by-step breakdown of exactly how to get it done. Step 1: Unlock the Discover Japan Pink StampLike many of the special rewards in Forza Horizon 6, Barn Finds are gated behind your progression in the Collection Journal. The Pennzoil NISMO Skyline will not simply exist out in the open world from the start; you have to trigger its rumor first by advancing through the campaign. Reach Pathfinder Rank: Keep playing through the core campaign activities until you hit the Pathfinder rank. Earn the Pink Stamp: Amass enough progression points to officially unlock the Pink Stamp within your "Discover Japan" Collection Journal.
Pro-Tip: If you want to speed up this process and level up your stamps quickly, focus your efforts on high-yield open-world activities. Knocking out Street Races, tracking down hidden regional Mascots, and checking off local Photography Spots will give you the fastest progression boost. Step 2: Navigate to the Hidden Barn LocationThe moment you acquire the Pink Stamp, a circular search rumor zone will pop up on your map. You can skip the aimless driving, as the barn is tucked away on the eastern edge of that search radius. The Region: Head over to the Takashiro area on the eastern edge of the rumor circle. The Landmark: Look for a very sharp hairpin turn on the map, situated just south of the Day Trip Horizon Story marker. The Path: Start at the southwest corner of that hairpin turn. From there, drive east directly off-road and up the unmapped hill into the dense forest. The barn is nestled right in the middle of the hill, sitting perfectly between the U-shaped road sections.
Bonus Tip: While you are exploring this specific forest hillside, make sure to look around. There is an open-world treasure car located right by the nearby waterfall. It is worth grabbing while you are already in the area to check two rare cars off your list at once. Step 3: Restore Your New Track MonsterOnce you spot the rusty structure among the trees, pull up to the barn doors to trigger the classic cutscene. The Horizon crew will haul the beaten-up Skyline back to the garage to begin the restoration work. From here, you have two choices on how to proceed: The Free Method: If you are not in a massive rush, you can just go back to playing the game normally. Complete races, explore the map, and let the restoration progress naturally over time. It will eventually hit 100% and land in your garage completely free of charge. The Instant Method: If you cannot wait to take this beast to the track, open up your menu, navigate to the Barn Finds tab, and pay the credit fee to skip the wait time entirely. This will instantly restore the car so you can start customizing and driving it immediately.
Once restored, you will have one of the most celebrated GT race cars ever built ready to dominate the tarmac. Get your campaign stamps sorted, take a drive up the Takashiro hills, and add this legend to your collection.
